Sharing Guidelines
Reading the rules below is compulsory. READ THEM CAREFULLY. If you do not understand these rules, DO NOT SHARE.
Shares are intended for webmasters, website owners, and business owners to help each other by sharing information and resources. Learn from each other and stay up-to-date with the latest news.
Share a statement if you wish to express an opinion or make a comment about something.
Share a link if you've found something on the web interesting, useful, disgusting, or otherwise relevant enough to merit sharing. Links potentially useful to the Qondio community are:
- SEO and SEM (search engine marketing)
- Social media
- Web development
- Internet Marketing
- Blogging
- News
- Current affairs
Just about anything EXCEPT your own websites (or your clients' websites) is acceptable. We allow absolutely no self-promotion via shares, because self-promotion benefits you, not the community.
Sharing Rules
Shared links are NO-FOLLOW. There is absolutely NO BENEFIT for the link being shared. If your goal is to promote the link you are sharing, don't. It's not called 'sharing' if you are trying to promote something. It's called 'marketing'.
Do not share for marketing or advertising purposes. Do not share to promote or publicize the link being shared. Any such shares will be considered as SPAM. DO NOT SHARE SPAM. 'SPAM' is anything shared to benefit YOU rather than the Qondio community.
In other words...
Do not share YOUR OWN SITES. 100% of spam has consisted of users sharing their own links. Users sharing their own links has been 100% spam. ERGO DO. NOT. SHARE. YOUR. OWN. SITES. It's not called 'sharing' if the site in question is your own site. It's called in-your-face 'marketing' aka SPAM.

Do not share your own links. Your own website (or your clients' websites) should be considered SPAM.

Share something we don't know about.

Do not share affiliate links. Your account will be terminated instantly if the link you share is actually an affiliate link.

Links to shared resources are NO-FOLLOW. Sharing a resource has no SEO benefit for the resource.
However, the link in your signature is dofollow. |
Signatures
To advertise your own websites, use signatures. You can add up to 500 (FIVE HUNDRED) signatures, and every time you share something, you may choose one signature. Your signature may contain one dofollow link to one of your authenticated websites, with anchor text of your choosing. The way to promote your websites on Qondio is to share truly useful, informative links of value to the Qondio community, and put your own stuff in signatures.
Re-Sharing
If you like something someone else has shared, re-share it by clicking Re-share. It will be broadcast to your followers. Your signature will also be broadcast along with the share. Re-sharing is good!
Replies
You can reply to a share. A reply will also bear your signature. Those shares with most re-shares and/or replies will be featured in Top Shares lists.
Reporting SPAM
Please report any shares obviously being shared to publicize the link rather than to help other Qondio members. 3 independent SPAM reports and you're out! Your sharing privileges will be terminated.
